For Marleen an old dream has come true. She trades the Dutch valleys for the mountains of Austria. Astrid is the young Rotor with many creative Ideas. Haus Schattbachgut is an old Farmers house build around 1880. Since 1992 it has been renovated and in use as bed and breakfast pension. From March 1st 2004 we, Marleen and Astrid, are leading the bed an breakfast pension.

 

Zell am See and Kaprun together form the Europa-Sportregion where you can spend your holidays in summer and in winter time. Our house is about 10 minutes, by car, away from the centre of Zell am See and 15 minutes from Kaprun. A bus stop is at 400m.

The bed and breakfast pension Haus Schattbachgut lies on a beautiful, calm mountain slope in Thumersbach. It is situated in a small valley which can be walked trough in about three hours. The valley ends at the foot of the Hundstein (2116m). From Haus Schattbachgut you have a fabulous view of the little town Zell am See, the towns Lake and the mountain the Schmittenhöhe (2000m).
